Janet Phillips Obituary

Janet L. Phillips, age 87, passed away April 16, 2024, in Burton, Ohio.  She was born July 26, 1936, in Youngstown to James K. Fredenburg Sr. and Marjorie (Maxwell) Fredenburg.

Janet served in the U. S. Army.  She worked at the Parmly Hotel and Lutz’s Inn & Tavern, as a server. She also worked for Hadco Company in Eastlake and Continental Circuits in Arizona

Janet loved spending time with her family.  And she enjoyed bowling, playing computer games and reading.

Janet is survived by her sons, Paul Phillips, Richard Phillips, William Phillips, and Robert A. Wells Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Sue Kukla; brother, Donald W. Fredenburg; sisters, Judy L. Kupko and Patricia Foster-Stoltz; 15 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, 10 great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved companion, Wesley P. McCoy, who was her childhood sweetheart; brother, James K. Fredenburg Jr. and her parents.

Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday April 24, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, following calling hours. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family.
